Santa Rosa Partners with Lyft for Downtown Rideshare Initiative

The City of Santa Rosa, in partnership with Lyft, has announced the launch of four newly designated rideshare pickup and drop-off zones in the downtown area. This initiative aims to enhance transportation access, support local businesses, and improve rider safety, according to city officials.

Locations of the New Rideshare Zones

West side of Courthouse Square near Fourth Street

City officials stated that the primary goal of establishing the rideshare pickup and drop-off zones is to make rideshare pickups and drop-offs more convenient, while managing downtown traffic flow. The initiative also aims to make it easier for people to travel to and enjoy downtown Santa Rosa.

"By adding another transportation option, we’re giving people more flexibility in how they travel to and enjoy downtown Santa Rosa," said Scott Adair, Chief Economic Development Officer for the City of Santa Rosa.

City and Lyft Coordination Efforts

To implement the new rideshare zones, the city installed signage at each zone and integrated the locations into downtown parking and wayfinding materials. The city is also promoting the zones across its communication channels to raise public awareness.
